MI Storyline
That was the day of the Grand Ball. Everything was perfect; the details on each guest's robe, the glistening chandeliers in the warmly decorated hall, and the Prince's dashing smile. Unfortunately, magic only lasts till midnight, for the Prince soon lost his life. As I said, everything was perfect. Even the murder of the Prince was so flawless that nobody had a clue who did it. As fingers pointed and pushed the blame, 5 Princesses were singled out as prime suspects. Nobody knows who is innocent and who is not, except...
Lurking in the shadows of the castle lies a petite thief, who possesses a vital clue. It is up to you to track this thief down and solve the mystery.
Which princess is the most vicious of them all?
Cinderella?
Ariel?
Aurora?
Belle?
or Snow White?
Prepare to ruin your childhoods...

FAQ
Enquiries
Joining our camp
Am I eligible for the camp?
As long as you are a freshman matriculating in August 2013 or a current student from NUS, regardless of your major, you are eligible to join Psychology Camp 2013.
Can I still join the camp if I am not going to be/unsure about majoring in Psychology?
Yes, definitely! We welcome campers intending to major in any discipline! Even if you are not intending to major in Psychology, this will be a great opportunity to learn more about this discipline through fun games and enriching talks! You will also get to meet new friends, seniors, and have fun together.
If I join the camp, does it mean that I will definitely get to major in Psychology?
Nope. Psychology Camp 2013 is a social camp organized by NUS Psychology Society, a student society consisting of mostly Psychology students. The camp was planned with the intention of allowing freshmen to learn more about the discipline and to come together to meet like-minded peers and seniors. Participating in the camp do not guarantee that you get to major in Psychology.
To declare a major in Psychology, you will have to meet the requirements set by the NUS Psychology Department. For more information, please go to http://www.fas.nus.edu.sg/psy/_prospective/prospect.htm
Do I need to have any previous knowledge about Psychology to join this camp?
No, this is a fun and interactive camp for freshmen to get to know seniors and fellow batch-mates.
The camp will also serve as a platform for you to find out more about Psychology as a discipline. Be rest assured that there won’t be quizzes and puzzles of any sort that demands prior knowledge of Psychology.
Will it be a problem if I am going for the camp alone?
Of course not! The key objective of the camp is for you to get to know more people and make new friends. There are bound to be campers attending camps alone every year. So, no worries. Join us and our big family, and you will no longer be alone. =D
I am signing up for the camp with a friend. Can we request to be allocated to the same group?
Yes, you can request to be allocated to the same group with your friend. Just indicate your friend’s name on the top right hand corner of your registration form. We will try to group you together as much as possible, however we cannot guarantee this due to logistical reasons.
About our camp
What will we be doing at the camp?
If you are a freshie
You will be participating in various games, all specially designed to allow you to learn more about NUS, university life and Psychology while having lots of fun! Other than games, there will also be enriching activities (such as CORS bidding simulation and seniors’ sharing sessions) that will be extremely informative and beneficial to you as freshman.
If you are a senior
Similarly, you will be participating in various games, that will enable you to meet more people and make new friends. In addition, you could share your experiences and undergraduate life with the freshmen and provide insights and guidance for their upcoming undergraduate life.
Is it an overnight camp? Do I have to stay for all the nights?
Yes, it is an overnight camp. As such, we would highly encourage you to bunk in with your fellow campers. It completes your camp experience and you get to experience hall life first hand!
Where will we be staying during the camp?
We will be staying at
Temasek Hall over the 3 nights of the camp.
Are meals provided at the camp?
Yes, meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) will be provided for our campers over the 4D3N, except for one day in which you will be going out of school for lunch, of which the expenses are not covered by the camp fees.
Will we be going out of school during the camp?
Most of the activities will be based in campus, but a few of them will require you to go out of school. Additionally, your facilitators may choose to bring you out during your own group-bonding sessions, such as for supper at night.
Will there be clubbing activities during the camp?
Nope, no clubbing is included in our programmes. If you feel uncomfortable with any camp activities, please feel free to inform your friendly facilitators.
I need to leave at some point of time during the camp due to certain prior commitments. Will I be allowed to do so?
Yes, you are allowed to do so. You will have to inform us before the camp during the course of registration, via email or SMS. During the camp, you will have to inform your facilitators and sign in/out with the admin representatives from the camp committee when you leave/return, so as to allow us to keep track of your whereabouts.
Registration
I did not manage to download the forms successfully, what should I do?
No worries, just send us an e-mail at psychcamp2013@nuspsyche.org and we will send you a copy of the forms.
What if I cannot make it on the stipulated registration dates to submit my forms and payment?
Send us an e-mail at psychcamp2013@nuspsyche.org, telling us that you are unable to make it for the face-to-face registration and leave your contact number. We will get back to you ASAP to make the necessary arrangements.
Alternatively, you can contact our Admin representatives, Cherie, Gina, Grace, or Yuan Sheng via handphone for assistance.
I have reached the registration venue, but I don’t see/can’t find your representatives. What should I do?
Sometimes, due to traffic congestion or other unforeseen circumstances, our representatives may be unable to find a table at the venue for registration. We would appreciate if you could wait for a moment at the venue and see if they arrive soon. You will be able to spot us by our camp poster. Otherwise, you may call the administration representatives. Their numbers can be found on the Registration and Contacts’ tabs.
Please be assured that we will try our best to ensure that registration commences smoothly, to prevent any inconvenience caused to our superheroes-to-be.
If I have registered and paid, but realise afterwards that I cannot make it for the camp, can I get a refund?
We are very sorry, but there are no refunds made for pull outs.
Pre-camp Preparation
What do I need to bring for the camp?
A packing list will be provided shortly in June for your reference. Do check our blog regularly for updates.
How do I know what group I am in and the reporting details for the first day of camp?
On the few days before camp, your group’s facils will call you to tell you the group you are in and the reporting details for the first day. So, make sure that you stay contactable during those days.
